A Knock On The Door
By: Pat Bode
-------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------

Someone came and knocked on the door,
Just when you couldn't take it anymore.
Opened it up; no one was there,
All you received was a breath of fresh air.
Jesus knew you were feeling down,
And He came to let you know he was around.
Feeling rejected and all alone,
Jesus knows when to come into your home.
Give Him a call and He'll hear the jingle,
For Jesus never has a busy signal.
He's never to busy to hear your hearts cry,
Just give Him a call, and He will be by your side.
Jesus knows what your going through,
For He went through the same thing too,
He was stripped of all His pride,
Humiliated and left to die.
Rejected, spit on, with thorns on His head,
He was nailed to a cross, and left for dead.
He went through all that just for you,
So won't you please turn to Him too.
Don't ever - ever give up,
Especially when you feel stuck.
Your here for a special reason,
So live your life each and every season.
Find something to be glad about,
And scream at the top of your lungs and shout.
Shout your anger, and blow off your steam,
It's the only way to fulfill your dreams.
So when you hear that knock on the door,
Thank the Lord Jesus for coming once more.
Get down on your knees and pray each night,
For God to come, and give you a knew insight.

FROM OUR READERS
------------------------------------------------------
I enjoyed the touching love story from Paul. He and
his wife have truly been blessed to have forty-five years
together. This was an enjoyable read.

Cheryl's Corner

We have heard from Tim.  He says he enjoys the five mile runs they
have to do in boot camp each day.  He wishes his high-school coaches
had been that serious about working out. He does not like camping
with just one wool blanket to sleep with.  He says meal portions are not
enough to fill him up and they wont allow him to use salt.

He has asked me to ask you to pray for his knees.  An old baseball
injury has been acting up. He knows when to call in Prayer Warriors!

We will pick him up from the airport the Friday before Christmas. I
promised him I would make Monkey Bread for breakfast on Christmas
morning. His dad will deep fry a turkey and I will bake a ham. Of
course, no special meal would be complete without Corn Salad at our
house.

Don't you just love Christmas? It has always been a time filled with
love and laughter. I enjoy gift giving, I just don't like to buy wrapping
paper. This year I am going to try and make fabric gift bags. I have
been purchasing velvet and any fabric that shimmer and shines. Now
to find time to pull out the sewing machine.

God Bless,
Cheryl
