Where is your light? Is it shining before men? Is it hidden so
deep that even you don’t know where it is?

                     This Little Light Of Mine
                       By: Joseph J. Mazzella

"This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine." I have always
loved that song ever since I was a little boy. I was listening to it
again today as my wife and I were babysitting our friend's two
little girls. I could even see the light shining from the eyes of the
eight month old baby and her three year old sister as they giggled,
played, and smiled at me. It was such a beautiful light so full of
joy, bliss, happiness, and delight. It was such a glorious light so
full of miracles, magic, goodness, and love. It was a light that
reached right down into my soul and reminded me once again what
we are here on Earth for: to love, care for, help, and rejoice in each
other.

I don't know why so many people refuse to shine their light. I
don't know why so many other people even try to dim and cover
the shining lights of those around them. All that I do know is that
each of us has a light within us. We have it from the day we are
born until the day we die. We carry it within our souls all through
this life and on into the next. It is the light of love and it is given to
us by a God who loves us more than we will ever know. We can let
it flicker and go out or we can nurture it, feed it, and let it shine its
glorious light to the whole world.

Take your little light then and let it shine. Let it shine from your
eyes and light up your smile. Let it glow through your countless
loving acts of caring, goodness, and compassion. Let it burn from
your heart and ignite the heart lights of all those you meet. Let it be
a beacon of joyous delight from your soul to the entire world. God
gave you a wondrous, beautiful light called love. Don't let it grow
dim. Choose it, share it, spread it, give it, and let it shine, let it
shine, let it shine.

remember over the last three years in emergency situations.

                     Letters From Our Readers

We know God works miracles. We also know that everything
works for Good for them that love Him. But it’s always amazing
when we see how things come together. Did the father see the
musical ability in his son? Or did he just want to recapture the fun
and joy he experienced in his wife’s family home? Maybe it was
neither. Great thoughtful story!

                           Cheryl’s Corner

Daughter-in-law to be, Kristen, came and spent a weekend with
me. We spent a Saturday morning going to garage sales. She was
thrilled to find so many children’s books to start her own library
for her future elementary classroom.

I think I found the best item. I knew when I bought it that all of
my guys would be trying to talk me out of it. I found a Darth Vader
costume. It included the helmet, cape, and light saber. I’ll put it on
a mannequin in my office.

While everyone was watching a movie, I couldn’t resist putting
it on. Grabbing a corner of the cape in one hand I swirled into the
room trying to remember to make the heavy breathing noises.
Everyone was startled and sat up straighter; then they started
laughing. I walked over to Jeremy and tried to say, “Jeremy, I am
your father’s wife.” But I was laughing so hard that only the words
“Jeremy” and “father” could be understood. I have got to learn
how to play practical jokes without laughing!

God bless,
Cheryl
