When tragedy struck, Betty's daughter and son-in-law
turned in faith to the Lord. He heard and answered. The
only casualty was a small witnessing tool. You can't
help but think of it still circulating, touching lives.

Praise The Lord

Out Of Difficulties Grow Miracles
 -Jean de La Bruyere

"Praise The Lord"

Our married daughter had been raised in a Christian home and
was herself a believer. After getting married and starting a
family she rededicated her life to the Lord. A busy housewife
and mother of two little boys she found herself with little
time and a feeling of inadequacy in being much of a Christian
witness. She began to pray the Lord would open up opportunities
for her to tell others of her faith and love for Him.

On a stop one day at the Bible Book Store she spotted a key
chain, Praise The Lord it was inscribed. Did she dare spend
five dollars on something she really didn't need? But wouldn't
that be a subtle way to witness? It wouldn't be offensive to
anyone, and yet she could get her point across. Even total
strangers would be aware of her faith, without her having to
say a single word. Perhaps this was the start on her way to
being the kind of witness she wanted to be.

Her husband took her car to his office one evening a few nights
later. It was a cold night and before returning home he ran out
turning the car on to warm up. He went back inside for only a
few moments. When going back outside he found the car was gone.

That evening my daughter and her husband discussed the
disappearance of their car. They talked of the possibility of
it being found stripped, if even found at all. So that night
in her prayers she asked that God would return it to them
unharmed.

The next morning early they received a phone call. Someone
across town had found their car parked in their driveway with
the doors open, keys in it and it still running. There was not
a scratch on the car. The only thing missing was the key chain,
Praise The Lord.

We never know how or in what subtle way our lives may reach out
to others. God can take the simplest occurrences and magnify
their effect. Prayers too are far reaching they can have
consequences of great magnitude. We should never forget also,
that in faith, mountains have moved.

Letters From Our Readers
---------------------------------------------------------------
Gale's story reminded me so much of my own life. I fell
in love with a guy and decided that as a modern woman
we would live together until the right time came along to
marry. It never did. Anything that could go wrong did. We
were always going to marry when finances were right, jobs
were better, or any other excuse reared it's head. He finally
left me to find himself. He found himself marrying someone else.

I asked God why He allowed this to happen to me. I was so
hurt and confused. I began to read my Bible and attend
church. I came to realize that God didn't allow this to happen,
I did it to myself.  God will not bless a relationship that goes
against his plans and purpose for my life. My parents had
tried to raise me to do what was right, but I felt they were
behind the times.

After getting my life on track, I met Jim. When we began
dating, it was strictly by the book. I was surprised at how
much more romantic a relationship could be when you
didn't jump in bed together. It allowed a true friendship
to grow. We have been married seven years and I am
still amazed at the depth of our relationship. There is a
strength in our marriage I never dreamed could exist. I
believe it is because I finally did things right according
to God's plan.

This is the most comprehensive and sensitive site
that I have seen all year that memorializes the 9/11
events. It takes about 10 minutes to download but
it's worth the wait. Please pass on to friends...and
get a hanky.

I belong to several lists. Many of them do not
allow you to see the person behind it. One I have
been on for nearly two years and I don't know if
the editor is male or female because the person has
a generic name. I can overlook your goofs since it
shows me there is a human being behind your news-
letter prone to mistakes just like me. It doesn't hurt
that you can laugh at yourself and not take yourself
too seriously.

Cheryl's Corner

Last week someone with an e-mail harvesting program
found the Write 2 the Heart web site. They went through
and lifted the e-mail address's of the writers in the archives
section. David has been working on learning a new
program so we can go in and update the site and go to
all the back issues to place a space before and after the
@ symbol.  We hope to have it finished this week.

Jeremy' friends now come over and tell him they will go and
buy some steaks if he will cook them. Funny how agreeable
he is with that. Maybe we should open a steak house and
hire him as chef.

God Bless
Cheryl
