Rekindle the Fire
By: Pat Bode
---------------------------------------------------------
Rekindle the fire within me Lord,
Renew your Spirit so I can fight off Satan's Sword.
He's coming at me with all his might,
But I know deep in my heart, I can withstand the fight.
Rekindle the fire that's growing dim,
Help me Lord, make me new again.
Stir up the fire that's in me, don't let it go out,
So I can reach out for others to see, what it's all about.
Help us all pray for one another.
Help us show love to our brother,
The brothers and sisters on the street.
Let the rich humble themselves at your feet.
Rekindle the fire within us all,
So we can reach out and not fall.
Thank you Lord Jesus once again,
For rekindling the fire within me again.

FROM OUR READERS

Dear Cheryl,

Yes, I, too, believe in the power of prayer and shared that with
my class of third-graders at church who go to public school. I
hope it made an impression on them to know there is Someone they
can call on in times of trouble. (Of course, I tried to share
that they should keep that relationship going all the time, not
just for times of crisis!) We never know how much we are
protected FROM.  I will be praying for the military service
personnel and Pat Lowe and her husband.  Thank you for
this wonderful service you provide to encourage others to write
and share experiences.
Your cyber-friend,
Nancee

Hi Cheryl!

Just a few comments on your story: one is :)

then there is: well done.

And: I especially wish to congratulate you for: "You can't help
but give clean little boys a big hug and breath deeply" and "The
hood had been lifted up high by the wind and tossed fifty feet
cutting a path through the tops of trees like a giant saw
blade...." Good writing, grilfriend!
Give more hugs.
God bless.
Alison :)

Dear Cheryl,
Your story just shows the many ways God takes care of us. Isn't it
wonderful that He loves us so much? I know He saved Willie and me
from great danger when we had the fire Jan, 7th. The results would
have been tragic if the fire had taken place when we were
sleeping. Also, our cat would have been out in the burning room.
I've thanked The Lord for keeping us safe sooo many times since
this happened.

We are having a hard time adjusting to Motel living, but we are
managing. It would help if Willie didn't snore, but I'll survive.
I can hardly wait until I am back in my nice quiet room so I can
get more sleep.

It's amazing to find out how many friends we have in this small
town, so many persons wishing us well. It's wonderful to know all
of my Cyber-friends are so caring, as well as our family. We are
truly blessed

My computer is being cleaned, and I probably won't be using it
until the smoke damage at our home has been cleaned, which will
include even some painting of walls and ceilings, and we are back
to normal. Meantime I'm having a hard time here using my
daughter's computer. It's so much different than mine.

Well, unfortunately it started to snow a few hours ago. I didn't
wear my boots over here to my daughter's house. Snow is sn-NO-w
fun!

I'll try remember everybody on your prayer list.
God bless you,
Pat

power...I was sorry to hear about the fire at Pat's house..It was
good that there were no injuries.

Tim is so excited! He can hardly wait to graduate from boot camp
next month. He wrote and said to be sure and come in a big enough
vehicle to take him home so he doesn't have to fly. New
subscribers, you can find the story "The Fledgling" about Tim
leaving for boot camp in the archives. I can't wait to get him
home and feed him! He's lost nearly twenty pounds.

God bless
Cheryl
