Oh! Lord, My, God! How, can this be Such death and destruction In the land, of the free The hijacked planes came They crashed into the tower Causing, so very many Americans To run and cower The terrorists, on 11 Sept 2001 Did what they wanted to please Hoping, to bring, the world In fear, to their knees Their actions, for a moment Did cause, many to sway Then, Americans lowered down To their knees, to pray.

In the blink of an eye Death came from the sky There was no warning No different than yesterday morning But this was to be the last No more present, just past Destruction at a rapid pace Wiping buildings from the city's face Taking with it the lives of many Heartbroken cries to mark the infamy Who could have foreseen What this day would mean How it would live on for all time This day with no reason or rhyme Just the death that came from the sky Taking so much in the blink of an eye

I hope we get to read more of his writings in the future! I also went to his site, his wife was and is lovely. Jill **** What a lucky woman to have her husband still be so much in love with her that he breaks out in song. Alice ****

--------------------------------------------------------- Cheryl's Corner
David loves popcorn! He can think of no better treat than hot, fluffy kernels of corn. After a hard day of working on the old house, He decided to treat himself to a big bowl popped in olive oil. He put the popper on and went and sat down in the living room to rest his poor, hurting foot. When he could no longer hear the corn popping, he asked Jeremy to bring it to him.
When Jeremy went into the kitchen, he laughed and said, "What popcorn? You didn't put the top on the popper."
Sure enough, the lid was beside the popper and caught just a few flying kernels. The rest looked like the aftermath of a food fight. Popped corn and unpopped kernels were all over the kitchen floor and cabinet tops. The floor was dangerously slick with olive oil. Jeremy and I laughed long and hard while we cleaned up the mess. One good thing, I am supposed to wipe down the wood laminate floors in this house with oil once a year to keep them shiny. I'd say they got a very good coat.
God Bless, Cheryl
